Hurst Shifter Redo..
« on: January 28, 2004, 12:45:04 PM »
Hey guys.
I have the classic hurt shifter with reverse lockout with the trigger that you pull to get it into reverse.. On mine the reverse trigger is soo stiff that you can't pull on it with out using both hands! :o  Thats clearly not right.. And I'm not a 90 lb weakling.. Anyways any ideas how to loosen up the reverse lock out trigger? Also the plastic trim base that covers up the workings of the shifter.. Can I find a new one? My old one is weathered and gray. IF new ones aren't availible I'll just buy some Fusion paint and do it.. then theres the question of turquoise or black....
My rant.

If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?

You could always have the boot upholstered.

Well shit man, if you can't have the proper shifter boot you might as well just chop off the roof, push the beam out about ten inches and run fenderless!
