Vacuum advance distributor - good choice?
« on: April 27, 2012, 07:02:17 PM »
Hi Folks
I am restoring a '65 T3 notch and am collecting the bits for the engine. CIP has a sale for this distributor. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?

Thank you.

If I am not mistaken, these are made by Empi which probably makes it Chinese made, but having said that I have used the Pertronix SVDA and the regular points style with great results ( and they could be Chinese made as well as they come in a plain White box.
The Bosch 034 SVDA is probably the best  one.
That Clear distributor cap on the one you are looking at is junk.
