Nope...it's been pretty lackluster as far as working on the buggy goes. I've also been slacking on getting the 66 finished.  :(

I did pick up a new toy that has me a little preoccupied lately though

Nice car, Cool Plate !!

Thanks..it's fairly entertaining. The plate belongs to the previous owner, I think he said he's had it on 3 or 4 cars

I actually did some work on the buggy  wtf.

Took apart the original 72 front end, most of it will be junked. But I need the spindles for the socal wide 5 disks.
Progress none the less

Did some mock up and seem to be making a little bit of progress lately

Have a couple of ideas for the dash layout...but nothing concrete yet

The bread box is gone

Question for buggy owners with side pods...how are you attaching them to the body? Any tips or suggestions....

The green tape on the hood is for the fuel filler...not sure whether to go center or upper right hand corner

Lookin' good.
My sidepods are attached using 2 bolts off the rear lip (the vertical part if that makes sense) and 1 bolt at the top of the lip in the front wheel well (all 1/4"). Held up fine last season but I will be adding an extra bolt to the bottom using a longer bolt through the pan/cage mounts just for a little more support up front.

For my buggy I put the filler up by the window and used a tank from a 74 bug  how I plumbed it is in one of the posts. I used this tank so I had a fuel gauge and it holds more fuel. The down side was I had to modify the top corners so the hood would fit. It is real slow to fill because it has to turn 90 deg, right after the filler. This is were I got my filler and hose  http://www.batinc.net/main.htm. Dont use rad hose use fuel hose. and here is a link to a site that I found on the subject http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/forum/topic_show.pl?tid=1501

So, I've actually been screwing around with the buggy as of late.

I also picked up a heart for the buggy... still waiting for the brains to be dropped off, but the heart is home

Wild guess at this point but somewhere between 1200 and 1400lbs. boost is going to stay at 8 pounds
