Cruise was not too long and this year I think they are making it a bit shorter .... Host hotel only has 3 days left to reserve, They also got Media sponsership this year so it is gonna be huge,,, and on TV

Do you need a passport now???
-
no passport needed as of yet to drive across the border, they are talking about Jan 2008 or 2009 for that.
Only need it to fly at the moment.
-
They are also looking for Silent Auction donations and Donations/Sponsorship

See ya at 6:30, Jag as my co pilot
-
i had to abort the mission. i had oil pissing out the 3/4 valve cover that i tried to fix a couple times but it kept leaking. thanks to mike, bill & brian for their patience. B)
have fun guys.
-
I got to the border @ 6;40am with Jag and thought we missed you guys so we put it in 5th and hit the gas to catch up. After an hour of 80+ MPH we were almost there and kinda figured out we must have been ahead of you. Good to see everyone make it down. Shane,Amanda,Chris,Courtney,Mike,Briab Moni,Bill and the others. Amazing turn out! There must have been 350-400 cars there or so it looked. Not much of a cruise more of a Gumball rally with speeds upto 90mph at times, lot's of fun. I'll be back next year for sure!
-
Was a good time, Never got the Race car as the failed to mention it sat outside for 10years.. Not much to save on it...So we loaded Courteneys car in ther trailer and went shoppping ;) Had dinner with a great bunch last night and had a blast at the park,,, Man there was alot of Buddha boy shirts there...

and a lot of pirates too.
yaaarrrrrrr, it be a good day for VW lubbers. :D
-
ya what was up with th pirates ???... .did anyone get pics of them ?..lol
thanx again geoff for letting me ride with you.
-
Definately a good tiem. Thanks Mike for driving our sorry asses down there. Silas, did you make it back okay? Yes, them pirates with the teeth were something else.
-
Silas, did you make it back okay?
yup, i made it back ok after a slight side of the highway modification to the valve cover. i kept the rpms down and the speed at 55mph and cruised home with only a slight drip. wierd that it only seemed to happen after lengthy high rpm cruises at 70mph.
today i changed the cover (it was bent out, but only slightly), flipped the bail and put in some new cork gaskets so hopefully that'll cure it.
sounds like great fun was had by all. i was bummed that i couldnt make it down to support the cause. next time. B)
