The rear is mounted via the rear bumper brackets. Heater channels are original. My car was a low rust Cali version so I got lucky...

HAHA.
Actually I just cut up my old '75 BMW 2002. Waaay too rusty so now I'm down to 81 RHD 323I and the bug... And a Kawasaki!
This is turning out to be the worlds slowest respray. The panels for my car were really f'ed up. Fenders didn't fit and finding decent ones is difficult. I think I can almost see the light. Should be right around by the time I go back to school.. Sigh.

Plus side, I've cleaned out a ton of space for working on the beast.. So Lifes good!

I never want to strip undercoat again...

Will for sure try. Just been organizing the cad plating and building up a set of turkis running boards. The passenger side fender is a 58 thats been converted over to be a "62" fender....  Hood had a bunch of tears and weird dents.. However the gaps now are nice.

Need I say more? Finally coming together. Big thanks to Lanny Hussey for an incredibly quick turn around time on the Pan build....
Now just to make everything else match the body work and the incredible pan!

I'm all smiles. Can't remember the last time a car made me feel this way. Lanny's work is outright amazing. Pics don't really do it justice. And the speed that he works at and what gets done in not a lot of time is incredible.

Looking forward to the next step......

The 39/40 is a local Ladner dudes ride. Back wheels and fronts are 15's. All are 5.5 width. 145 width Nankangs up front. 205 70- 15's in the back. I'm going to have to find some spacers since they rub.
Oh and they are flat 4's repops.

Well this post is about a week late.
Brought the car home labour day long weekend. Don't ask about the fender, its a sore subject. It still needs some touch ups/ a polish..

Well I wish I had a good story but I don't. Left rear didn't fit. Simple as that... Needless to say the fitment issue should of been addressed before it was painted, however it wasn't.....

Hate to say it again but it's been a long time coming. Finally having a garage that I can stumble out to in my own yard has helped a lot. Even if it comes with all the other home owners responsibilities:P

Anyways started wrenching on it and started getting the wiring harness run. Got to love the sand that is still coming out of the car....

when mine trailered across Canada and back, there was sand in the same place when I got it home! ;)
