Noooob!
« on: July 30, 2007, 08:55:51 PM »
hello...I ve been buying hot vee dub magazines and vw trends since I can remember.....I ve been looking for a car for quite a while now...I have a super beetle that I ve had for years. I recently have started parting it out and have finally had someone come and purchase the remaining bits....was hard to see it go althoughI was able to purchase this car...just trying to get it off of photo book now.  While I was looking for a car this sight was EXTREMELY helpful...thank you emilio (egspot) for all of your great advice...and everyone else...I ll try and post pics of my bug

nice ride & welcome to the asf.

as far as a steering wheel and other needed parts go, start by putting some wanted adds in the classifieds on this site....you'll more than likely get a great response. or try shane or chris at http://www.acvw.net for parts. or make sure you check out the swap meet at the great canadian vw show.

hmmmn....didn t really think about selling them..the story is that the guy I bought the car from only used his car for car shows and parades in parksville and surrounding area...he said to only use the white walls for show as they were an expensive purchase. SO....I was just going to put them away, but if I can get an interesting trade for them I would probably do it.(I don t plan on this car being a trailer queen) nor do I plan on attending any parades...car show mebee. This car is my daily driver so the white walls are not really in my plans for the car.

Frank, I love the BRM's - If the car was one colour I think the BRM's dark contrast would pop more!

Either way, liking the Berg parts too!

i'm with you, kinda on the fence about the brms.

you mentioned fuchs, i was thinking empi 5 spokes, but i like the idea of chromed something…the car just kind of screams early resto-cal to me and some chromed out goodies would look good! ;)

regardless of my opinion and anything i say, you got a bitchin ride and good for you for switching it up every once & awhile and trying different things. it looks like you're having fun with it and it's your car to do with as you please. good job!!
