Bad Bearing?
« on: February 16, 2006, 11:50:34 AM »
Hey guys,
Last night my beetle started making a bad weird noise in fourth gear. The best way I can describe it in fourth and no other gear it goes WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO WOOO!. Clutch in, in fourth, Clutch out in fourth, or decaccelerating in fourth it does it. Any clues what it could be? The rest of the tranny shifts find and is relatively quiet.
If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?

Were there any trains nearby when that noise appeared?

Or did you buy a turbo insert for your exhaust?
