Title: Another Clutch Question

Last time I used my buggy I pushed my clutch pedal to far (no travel stops) and then there was nothing barely enough spring left in it to make the pedal return. The cable is not snapped it is adjusted and did not slip and the lever the cable attaches to is going through its full range of motion (and then some) when the pedal is pushed all the way but the clutch won`t release what could be causing this?

pulled the motor it was the throwout bearing
