WTB seat belts-FOUND
« on: April 19, 2020, 01:45:01 PM »
I need the driver and passenger seat belts for a 71 bus. I bought retractable ones from CIP1 but they hit the door panel. Unless I installed them wrong but there doesn't seem to be another way of installing.

I've got some 71 seatbelt boots and pieces that came with my 71 bus that you can have.

Don't get rid of the retractable seat belts.  Just change the mounts and move them back away from the door.  Here are mine.

I don't think I have room to move them back. Hits the seat. But I will have a look tomorrow.

Not sure. They are buried in my storage locker.

I moved the belts housing back and it fits but the retainer on the post is not angled right and the belt binds. Gonna have to work on that.

I used aluminum angle {3x3 cut down a bit}for my bracket.  The bracket sits at an angle in relation to the seat.  I am also using late Vanagon seats and early Rabbit seat belts which may make it easier for me.
