Gauges?

howdy. i posted this on the clf and wanted to drop it here too.

i'm thinking of buying 2 vintage sun gauges off ebay, 1 oil temp & 1 oil psi.

how can i tell if these will work in my 56 converted to 12 volt w/ a 1776? ( or larger...hehe)

what should i look for/ ask etc.

well, a guy on the clf answered my question with what i thought was the answer.

oil temp is temp and pressure is pressure. it doesnt matter how many cylinders you have, the gauge should work.

a tachometer is made for certain cylinder cars though. 4 cylinder car = 4 cylinder tach.

i dont know if this helps anyone, but it sure helped me out.

ask a dumb question, get the right answer, save a ton of time and money.
