Thats right! Sept 12th at the old S.I.R track now Pacific Raceways, Seattle Wa.
That is the Grand daddy of the Pacific Northwest events. If you even the slightest into VW's in the 70's 80'and 90's this was the event to be at. It was a party from camping at the front gate all the way thru Sundays swap, show and race!
This could be a very fun weekend once again, no word if there will be camping allowed but if there is i'm sure it will be a blast!
More info to follow!

Heck ya.I remember the year(89/90) when someone had the bright idea to add an engine case to the bonfire we were having. Then the fire department came to put it out(with water)HAHA...good times!!
-
I remember those fires well!
-
Those were the best of times. and yes, I remember the fires as well.
Looking forward to this. It is perfect time as well.
Gordo!
-
Atleast if there is camping the party will be quieter, with all these old guys, and the prices of engine cases too, hmm sounds like fun!

Just around the corner. Is there a convoy heading down?
Not sure I can make it yet, but it sure would be nice.

Langley Good Times Cruise In is on the same day.
Wondering which one to attend?

if anyone is interested in heading down saturday...meet at the campbell river store at 6am, head for the border crossing at 610am...

eta at show site would be 9-ish (registration is from 8-10).
keep your eyes on this thread for updates (if the plan changes).
also fyi...gas up/get coffee/use the facilities before hand...the campbell river store is closed at that time of the morning but it's local and close to the border, thus a good meeting place!

Could be me Silas....

All packed up and ready to head out today, see you there!

A decent start for this event to make a comeback, this was "The event" for VW's in the Northwest at one point, great to be back there again. Hopefully they can do a little better promotion for it next year, the setting is great and watching lots of serious drag cars was fun!

Congrats to Brian Cook and his little blue Cookie Monster Fiat for winning in his class beating Rocky Jennings in the Final.
Also congrats to Johnnie Balfour for winning in his street class with a 14.01 on a 14.00 dial in.
It was very cool to be back at this event, felt like no time had past since the last one. Many of the old faces were all there.
