Title: Engine Block

I was wondering if anyone new if there was a certian engine  block from a certian year that is a prime block to build an engien out of?? Ie like an engine out of a 74 super or an engine out of a 70 bus or something.  is there a diffrence in the engine blocks outher then years. is one have a better make up of it? just a question thanks?

If your talking T1 engine, then the AJ code fuel injection case (no fuel pump hole) from '75 on is a good case to start from if you can find a good low miler. They are AS21 as compared to AS41. They have a better alloy content.
This is what my 2332 is based on.

this is a type 1 engine and yes i am thinking about a block for a build up maybe a 1776 or 2110

I would go get a a Volvo 32c 1965 Vintage very hard to find but slips right into your Tranny and produces 350 hp. Parts are cheap. You should be able to put together a killer engine for about $692.00

well i don't think i could build up enough  drive  to change to a volvo engine! i want to keep  the vw engine just bigger i just want to know what the best stock block to use is? i am in the thinking process
