4 Points Seatbelts
« on: August 28, 2006, 02:54:25 PM »
I'm looking to get some 4 point seatbelts for the bug. I'm quickly realizing how much I need it now. Only problem is I don't have a roll cage.

I'm just curious what's the best way to mount the shoulder straps? How safe is it to mount to the floor? I've heard that it

They really should be attached to a cross bar on a cage BUT I have seen a few with the \"Y\" belt for the shoulders and the single rear strap can go thru the back seat bottom and back rest gap and bolt to the firewall there. Probbaly still not the best but better than the floor behind the drivers seat.

Hey Geoff,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Will the belts that you have facilitate both type of setups? or will I need to get a special on order for the rear firewall mount?

Anyone out there have pictures of thier seatbelts installs without a cage?
