ok so i installed a new upper left control arm and the bolt comes through way to much

and my old control arm has this spacer type deal do i have to put one on my new arm so it doesnt hit any more????

Yup , you need to pull those camber adjusters off the old ball joint or pick up new ones or better yet get the special ones with even more adjusting range for lowered cars.

they can be a bitch to get off, but once you go to reasemble you just slide em on and bolt it together

Use a 3 jaw puller to pop them off. Then just slide them onto your new balljoint, and cinch them into the spindle. Tightening the nut will pull them onto the taper.
