Apparently these are the dates for 2011:
"July 9-10 Victoria Volkswagen Club 250-381-0767 Gyro Park 8-3 Volkswagens Only Victoria"
Sorry, that's all I know from that site. Silas, I noticed you commented on this yesterday. Have you heard from anyone yet? It looks as though I will be going. :D

i havent heard anything from the vvwc regarding exact confirmation of those dates...but they havent posted anything saying that those dates are wrong either... :D ;)
regardless...lori & i will be taking the 64 over for the victoria volksfest weekend...and hopefully there will be alot of others from the mainland attending aswell!! we usually try to organize it so a group of us catch an early ferry on saturday morning and caravan together into victoria just in time for pancakes at speedway motors. good times!!
it's a great event, hosted by some wonderfull folks, in a beautifull city!! definately worth it!!

i have now heard from the VVWC and they have indeed confirmed that the dates for the 2011 Volksfest show will be July 9th & 10th!!

"Hey just a heads up to everyone headed to the show on Sunday...there's a lot of construction on Mackenzie behind the university, so my suggestion is to either scoot around Ring Road and come out on Finnerty to bypass it, or to go down Cedar Hill X road instead to Cadboro Bay Road and avoid it entirely.
There's three places where they've dug across the road and then patched it, and the patches are soft so they're forming humps in the middle of the lanes, the middle of the road, and the edges of the lanes and leaving holes in the tire ruts behind. There's also a blended in steel plate that's not very well blended into the road...the reason I mention it is that none of it is marked, and there's no way to avoid it once you hit it. I know Andrew left some marks a couple weeks ago when he went over them, and since then it's only gotten worse due to the hot weather and the continued construction.
I would just hate to see someone lose an oil pan or rockers or running boards on the way to the show! So be careful or take an alternate route!

Tsawwassen McDonald's on 56th, btw. 6 AM Saturday....precisely. :D We, however, are leaving on Sunday morning from Joel's place at 0530.

Congrats to Geoff, Christine, And Gavin (I dont think Im forgetting anyone) for taking home some hardware. See you guys at the GCVW show weekend, and hope to have all you guys/gals back to our show next year.

I had a great time hangin' with everyone today at my first Volksfest (my car's second)! Thanks to the VVWC for hosting the show in such an awesome location. Thanks to all the mainlanders that showed up for Volksfest. You certainly brought game. Some very nice vehicles.
It is always nice to put a face to someone that you have emailed and never met.
Since the Vancouver show has been changed to a later date this year, i will be able to come over and see you folks on your home turf.
