Title: Wireing Help
Post by: Russ on October 04, 2005, 07:55:58 AM
looking for a shop to rewire my 57 (12v car)
i have been plaqued by wiring problems for about the last year.i just keep fixing what i can and keep going.
well as of this morning i have no headlights and i have yet to figure out why.the last time this happend i had some burned wires (overloaded i guess)
i do have a stereo installed and two 6x9's so nothing huge,i'm running H4 headlights.
the main power wire that goes to the ignition is burnt and the one opposite has been fried as well.awhile ago i thought they were just bad wires so i did a shitty job cutting out the burnt part and replacing with a new wire.well here we are a 6 months later? and the exact same thing.
i am looking at a wiring diagram and it does not even look correct the way my car is wired.
so this is a daily driver,i am looking for a shop to rewire this thing. i have a week were my wife goes on a trip middle of this month for almost a week and would be able to leave it with them.I DO NOT TRUST MY OWN WIREING SKILLS TO DO THIS.
i quite frustrated this morning if anybody has any suggestions please send them this way
Thanks Russ

Happy to help!

I suggest going thru and redoing and/or replacing alot of what is in there when time permits. Or if the car isn't needed for a couple days do a new harness all together.
