Idf jetting
« on: July 11, 2012, 12:12:47 AM »
So I've been resurrecting an old 1835 I built about 20 years ago. I have some questions.

Stats

- counterweighted crank
- stock rods
- engle 120 cam
- 041 heads, stock ports, 39 x32 valves, single hi rev springs, stock rockers, swivel feet adjusters, heavy duty shafts.
- 8.5 : 1 compression.
- 009 distributor with points (probably switch out to pertronix/compu-fire after I get it running)
- 44 mm webers

My question is the jetting on the carbs. Am I at least in the ballpark?

- main jet = 145
- by pass = 55
- idle jet = 50
- idle nozzles = 55
- emulsion tube = F11
- air correction jet = 200
- venturi's = 36mm

I also have an air adjusting screw that is seized in its hole. I've tried all I'm willing to do to get it to budge. Nada. Is this going to mess me up when it comes to syncronizing the carbs?

Lastly does anyone have a link to the coles notes version of rocker geometery/set-up?

Probably got more questions but that's it for now.

Thanks in advance.
