Open to any old minibike or parts. Can be very rough, frame only, wheels. Let me know if you have something.

Alot of that stuff is still made today http://azusaeng.com/ , you don't even have to be crafty since just about everything can be ordered. Or you can download plans from the interwebs in case you have to say you built it yourself.
G and I built a clone of a hard tail Bonanza a couple years ago from scratch, more Princess auto parts than Azusa, but it's way cool and can still scare the sh*t out of you if you go too fast, we are up to ~ 8 hp on it now, big fun. G learned about blueprint reading, calculating curves and radius', tube bending (as well as shopping on CL for the bender and dealing with strange sellers), welding, gear ratios, and what happens when you put too much hp into something designed for 2 hp with tiny little wheels. :O

Priceless, even though I ended up doing most of the actual work ;)

Whatever you build or buy put the shocks on the back, or invest in some serious foam for the seat, that thing is a tooth rattling butt punisher right now.

I actually have a few, I love building up custom Mini Bikes and with the 212 engines there's plenty of aftermarket parts. My current one runs in the 50 mph range and yes that's damn scary! I like using a lot of the older parts, that's why i'm looking for what ever is out there. I'm helping a couple friends build theirs up as well, I see a gang forming lol!
Post a pic of your's Mark.

As a kid, I had a Little Indian (no comments). It was a bit like the Taco above but no suspension and the gas tank was under and behind the seat. My knees were almost touching the handlebars. It had a 10 HP two stroke chain saw engine on it. No clutch. The gas tank had a handle on it which you used to lift the rear wheel, run, drop it and hop on at about 10MPH. That was idle speed. It would do about 60MPH. Every time I rode it I would have to fix it. The sprocket would be torn up, the drum brake (that was almost useless) would twist. The bolts holding the rear wheel on would be half off. Geezzz that was fun!!

I can't imagine 60mph on that thing. 50 mph is pretty scary.. But then I'm getting old and take longer to heal :-)

Hahaha!, sounds brutal!, but likely a great idea at the time.
We've had the Powerfist special close to those speeds, it was one of those moments that you say to yourself "cool, but I won't try that again" things, still trying to find pics that can post here, G's got some on Facebook or something, stand by.
