I think it was a place called MVS that I spoke to about shipping mine. Can't remember exactly, some place with an acronym name. It was around $1000 non-covered. I decided to pick it up myself on a long weekend and it cost me $800 for round trip, Vancouver to Vermilion, Alberta (about an hour east of Edmonton).

$470 fuel - GMC Sierra 1500 trailering one way only.
$240 - Uhaul Trailer Rental (pick-up in Edmonton/drop off Vancouver).
$70 - One cheap hotel. (slept at truck-stop the other night).

...for what it's worth.

Ask Strictly German's Joel, he shipped his beetle from Saskatchewan. Some sort of bidding process by truckers, which worked great for him I think.

Joel used Uship. It's a website where guys bid on the shipment. You simply set up an account then post what you want shipped. Where it is coming from and going. I was going to use it to grab a couple cars from Manitoba, decided to grab them myself. If the car is a roller it's cheaper. Mine weren't rollers so the shipping companies have to charge for all the time to load. As well a shipper has to have the means to grab a non roller. Usually less bidders for those jobs. Good luck.
