Just So We All Understand About Lexan

Aircooled top 20 cars, if they have a lexan windsheild they are in the race only class right?  Are you going to ask if the windsheild is lexan, or is it up to the owner to spill the beans?

Just curious, that's all.

OK so  all cars in the NA and turbo/nos section have a glass windshield then.

Lexan means race car entry only,  even if it is driven on the street in full street trim.

I just want to clarify this since I will be on my 3rd windsheild for the chop  and will most likely go with lexan $$$ much cheaper, even though I will drive this on the street.

Oh by the way, isn't Tom's and Jims car race only then? :o

The Drama!

Micky Jennings opted to go in the race only catagory as he thought his car was borderline as to being a street car.

I don't see how a Lexan windshield would determin if a car is a street car or a race car.
Example take your car James, If you were to put Lexan in place of the glass ( still rubber mounted) but changed nothing else to the car. Would your car now become a race car?

Would a lexan window pass DOT inspection? No.

Rule number 8 on the site: \"Car must have a safety glass windshield \"
