Hey I am looking for a good hood and a vert decklid for a 61 beetle. Also in need of door swing stops or whatever they are called. Let me know what you have, pictures would help of course.

Thanks

Door brakes are the "technical term"
If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?

the bentley manual calls them check rods.

I've never heard the term "door brake". In any manual and parts book I can recall they are called check rods.

Hmmmmm.

Check rods sure..
But door brake is also what I think to be a proper term since it brakes the door from smashing into your fender..

Heres where I got my reference. Same thing, same function...

I'm pretty sure Chris was looking for a part for his Beetle, not a BMW.

If he was looking for parts for an Austin Healy he may have called the parts by their correct term, Boot and Bonnet.

Last I checked this was a VW forum...

whew, just checked again and it still is.
