I am interested in finding out what to expect on this engine.

I know that I will need a non stock cam, and the .044 heads. now whether i go with the 90.5s or the 94s with a 78mm crankshaft, do I have to get shorter rods or can i used stock lenth. Do they have to be special material/composite?

I've been told a 78mm stroke with 5.5 rods and \"B\" stroker pistons work well.

Stock rods with a 78 stroke are all you need.

When you have the case bored for the larger cylinders, have the case \"decked\" about .5mm below the case deck. This has to be done for 94s to get rid of the narrow ridge and the \"standing proud\" case inserts so the barrels seat and seal correctly. If it is also done with 90.5s, setting the deck ht. with a stock length rod, 5.4\",  is made easy.

94s give more bang (displacement) for the buck, 90.5s are a good also and should cool slightly better.

Look at a set of 043 heads as opposed to the 044s, talk to head gurus like K-roc and DRD for their opinions.
