Case Cleaning?
« on: November 09, 2008, 06:11:01 PM »
Does anyone know of a good place to get a case cleaned? I have cleaned my type iv (72 bus motor) motor as best I can by hand. But it's not as clean as I would like it before I put it back together.

Thanks.

Maybe try a transmission shop. Most would have some sort of a hot water/tank bath I would think for cleaning trans cases.

I do not know if it would react with the Alu/Mag case but. I know a bleach/water solution will clean just about anything and so would lemon juice.

Most transmission cases today are aluminum, so they are quite safe to clean your case.
