My mallory had the timing all in at 2500 rpm, huge improvement over stock unit. I also had dells and found that I had to use a fatter idle jet to compensate the somewhat lean transition between the idle to main jet. I had a 60 idle, up from 55, and a 140 main, with a 34 venturi on my 71 x 94 motor. My timing was set to 13 degrees idle and 28 degrees full advance all in at 2500 rpm.
