what a fun weekend down south!! 2 great events, lots of cool & unique vws and a huge selection of parts in the swaps at both shows, drag racing, camping, hanging out and sharing some laughs with old friends and making new ones...good times!! so awesome to see so many mainlanders and islanders make it down...fun!! :cool:

allright...time to load up and convoy a little further south, pick up some supplies, and go set up camp at pacific raceways...
while the entire weekend was an absolute blast, camping at the track was the highlight for me...

camp clears out as people go to get ready for racing in the pits, swapping in the swap & showing in the show...i make some breakfast & coffee and laze around with mike, shannon & pat at camp...

and then its time to wander around and check out the pnw vw nationals show...there was a great turnout of racers from canada...dave cosgrave, wayne davis, brian in his fiat, kevin k in his wicked little blue bug, geoff in his oval...and i think it came down to dave & wayne in the finals!! the swap was big, the show had a huge selection of all types of air cooled and water cooled, they had an engine blow and a burnout competition...pretty awesome all around...

overall, a really fun weekend!! 2 shows in 1 weekend and camping made it great!! a large turnout of canadian friends made it awesome!! hope to see all y'all next year!! :cool:

That was a awesome weekend. The best part for me was the trip to the drag strip after the show. The one eye urine smelling guy, the dude with the $100 ride, the hooker and getting lost along the way.

Or at least till you get to a campsite and enjoy telling the story there.
