Who does carbs?
« on: September 06, 2010, 08:27:08 PM »
I need my Weber 34ICTs rebushed and am wondering who can do it? I'd need them rebuilt as well and I need it done this week. If this isn't possible then I'm in need of some good condition carbs for my Squareback if anyone has some. Cheers!

I dont know anyone who rebushes carbs around here any more. The guy I knew moved up to Kelowna. I have a set of dual Dellorto 34s complete, manifolds, hex linkage and alluminum air cleaners  that I was looking to sell if you are interested.

Ya I facebooked him and he thought he might be able to and said to call but I've tried a few times and can't seem to get a hold of him. Is he the only guy around? Do you just have to buy a new carb body once the throttle shafts bushings are worn out??

Rebuilding is the easy part, rebushing is the difficult one. Though I do not know why.

I know its not local, but I sent my carbs to Art Thraen in Utah. After he rebuilds them he puts the carbs on a running motor and sets them up. All you have to do is put them on your motor and off you go. I highly recommend him as my car has never ran better.

Hi Reese, I think it was $350.00. The turn around time is roughly 2 weeks.
Brian.
