I wish they were webbers.
TIN 40 zeniths is what they are. I just took it on a 1400km road trip 2 weeks ago and it kicked ass.
90kph up the osoyoos hill in 35 deg heat without a problem.

71 Westy (formerly Krautbucket's). Plan to sort it out and use it for camping. No plans yet to make it really nice. I do hope to keep this one for a while. I quite like it.

Trim package?
It is a nice looking ride.

What a purdy bus. I like how the photo is just a bit blurry so it makes it seem like its a dream.

I am in the process of installing a 1974 Westfalia P27 interior into a 1979 Bus less the pop up roof.
I found this bus on Vancouver Island in the early spring. It had some engine issues, but it was virtually rust free, having spent most of its life in the San Jose California area, and had a dealer install a/c unit. Here we are at the ferry terminal at Swartz Bay on the ride home.
(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.thesamba.com%2Fvw%2Fgallery%2Fpix%2F659723.jpg&hash=95d4ec13ec1614c94f80e163d0680fa94cb0543d)
Having resolved most of the mechanical issues - oil cooler replacement, fuel/vacuum/gas tank hoses and seals etc. and getting it through AirCare, I set out looking for a doner camper interior.
I subsequently found one in Maple Ridge at the Reydaville bus farm- a 74 Westfalia with a P27 interior with a working fridge and stove.
I decided to remove the spare tire from the rear to the front bumper.
(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.thesamba.com%2Fvw%2Fgallery%2Fpix%2F743593.jpg&hash=b84dcff53f0ccaa3c946b43c4ab081c622ba413d)
After cleaning and painting the rear floor area I installed a 12mm plywood floor and tan carpet. The various pieces of cabinetry went in without difficulty as you can see. I did remove the water tank and turned the sink around so it is now close to the window. This should provide a little more interior storage.

Found some front seats from a Vanagon. These will get recovered at some point in the same material as the rear. The upper bunk material is like new and should be suitable.

I still have plenty of work to do, including plumbing, electrical, propane tank and hoses, water tank under the floor, curtains, rear headbanger closet, jalousie windows and BN4 gas heater. The roof and window areas also need to be repainted in the correct Mexico Beige.
In the meantime it's a driver and when the weather cooperates I can get a bit more done. FYI.

Nice work! PDT_Armataz_01_37

Thanks. Always nice to get some encouragement!!
-
do you need a propane tank?
if you pay for shipping you can have mine free.
I'm in Vic
-
Would this one be off your 74 as well? Don't know if could be shipped if there was any residual gas in it. I do have one but would like to get an optical scope to have a look inside it. It has sat a long time.
By the way I did get the gas heater working that you sent me. Have to paint it yet and install it. Got all the related pieces from steveo_32. Don't know whether I'll install it now or in the spring. Guess it all depends on how cold it gets and how desperate I get for heat. The air heater works as well as it ever did, I think. Having all the cabinets in the van means there is less area to heat.

Yes it is off my 74.
Im glad you got the BN4 going.
The tank is just sitting here so if you come over or you know some one heading your way from the island let me know and you can have the tank.
-
Please hold on to the tank. We should be over there in the not too distant future. Could have been this week but I got out voted and we went to the outlet malls down south.
-
No worries.PM when your ready.
This coming weekend is no good. i will be in Calgary at the western final.

Picked this up in Courtenay, needs some serious welding on frame rails and some body stuff, going to fix frame and roll it while I fix it :)

Nice find! Talk to Steveo, I'm sure he has a frame section for you. If not I may have a parts bus next week.
-
some may remember this one. wasn't sure what to do. recent events have made me decide to pull it right apart and start from scratch instead of rollin it for fun.
I'll post pics this summer as I start the resto.

Just gotta rub salt in the wound eh...

No pics yet, but I just got given a 77 ex-Swiss Army radio bus. It's Euro-spec (of course) so has a bench seat in front and a 1600dp with the rare (in N.A. anyway) tin to adapt the T1 motor to the T4 engine bay. Hoping to get it on the road soon.

I must have Bay Fever! My latest purchase, a 1970 all OG Adventurewagen:
(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi922.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fad61%2Fsquareweave%2Fadventurewagon%2FP2040051.jpg&hash=36b22f2c54fe694d539d019d7975aeb307be2e22)
Somebody loved the rattle can paint and "fixed" the patina on the OG paint. Plans are to strip the spray paint, restore the interior, detail it to the max and drive it to the Classic in June. The parts are already showing up in Blaine for this one.
-
Nice score! Brown mats and two tone seats!!!
-
Where did ya find that one? Looks like it'll be a fun project!

U S of A  It really is a cool conversion. Dual batteries, sink, two burner stove top, 12volt/120 volt fridge and tons of storage. It still has the OG propane tank under the passenger side. I wasn't a huge fan of a highroof until I bought this. This one has a built in luggage rack on the back of the top and it's pretty cool that they started with a deluxe bus.
-
Oo, sounds awesome. You should take some interior pics :D
-
Now thats a project! Wouldn't want to try and climb a long hill in that let alone get a cross wind!

You would need two 4 foot bongs to hot box that bad boy.
