Need new tires for the double cab
« on: February 23, 2009, 08:16:52 PM »
1964 .. Are these 14" or 15"? Bus is sitting at Tarrah's Moms right now.. Need to call around for tires in the morning. What should we be asking for? Waiting for her Mom to call back with tire info from the sidewall.

Do you know the price of them there? Will get someplace to match. I don't have a costco card.. and unfortunatly need them tomorrow IF possible.

Am I ok to go 195s?

Originally, a Type 2 used truck tires.  They have a higher load carrying capacity than car tires.  You might want to look into this.

Bruce.. I believe the ltx are light duty truck tires (correct me if i'm wrong).?

I have the morning off work (start at noon), so have only a few hours to figure this out. Would REALLY like to return the rental car tonight if possible.

Preferance is to buy a new set.. I drive it pretty much everyday. I want something that is safe.. handles good and worth the money.
Langley / Port Kells is a must too.

Have the name of a few tire places.. just need to figure which tire is my best bet and hope I don't get raped on the price.

Midway, Tireland, Kal Tire, Big O.. and there's always Camodia Tire.

The LTX are light truck tires. We have a costco card but they will need to be ordered in to Costco. What about running some different wheels tires for a few days. You can come by and grab our old Thing rims for now. They have light truck tires mounted on them (a couple are getting down but it will be worth it to wait for the LTX).

CALL : )

Hey Chris.. Yes.. Will probably do that.
I've called 2 places so far. apparently they MAY not make that tire in a 14 anymore.. he's going to call me back in a bit.
