Post by: Stevie on May 05, 2007, 09:29:53 PM
hi i'm in the process of installing new bearing and a new disc brake kit,
I think i am forgeting something as when i put the Disc on and thread on the nut it just keeps going in until nothing moves, i have the inner bearing then about a 4 inch spacer and the outer bearing and then the seal, am i forgetting something?

the disc just keeps getting sucked closer into the unit,

any help would be great.. thanks a lot steve

A little late , I'm sure by now you've figured out that you left out two spacers. One outside of the inner bearing and one outside of the outer bearing.   Don't forget the snap ring and seal for the inner bearing ;)

2 more spacers? i don't think i had those on there before... with the drums... so do they go between the bearing and the seal?

Yes , thier outer diameters ride on the inner diameters of the seals.   It should go something like this , from inside out ,  inner spacer / seal / snap ring / inner bearing /  long spacer sleeve / outer bearing /  outer spacer /    bearing cover (with seal and big o ring)  / drum (or roter hub)  / axle nut  ,   and the axle going through the middle of it all.
