As in years past many of us will be driving down to the VW Classic in June.
This thread is for anyone who may want to cruise together, plan hotels, stops along the way etc.

I know of a few of us who will be taking Bay windows and will be camping
and staying at a few hotels on the way. Probably take 2 days plus and not rush.

Is there going to be a 'chase truck' or someone going with a hefty vehicle? I wanna motivate myself to get the 23 Window readyish by then, but I'm still a little scared of the big trip

I'll be in L.A. at that time. Brenda and I are driving the Intermeccanica Roadster 6 to a Speedster/Spyder gathering in Pismo Beach June 1-3. She will fly back to B.C. and I'm staying on for the Classic (wish I could have the DC there but the Roadster will have to do).
Is there a special hotel you're booking? Depending on schedule/route I could tag along for the drive home.

We stay at the Crowne Plaza in Irvine during the Classic weekend, if you book be sure to ask for the Classic special price!

I will try hard to make my 23 worthy enough not to need a chase truck (haha). Who's bringing a spare turnkey engine??

Driving down with my brother's again - but probably leaving on the wednesday night and doing the 21 hour drive.

i booked the hotel (cost nothing to reserve and can be cancelled anytime)
flights are hovering around 325-375 right now.

Sounds like a blast, I am interested in joining a group traveling to the classic. Is there a champion coordininating the group? not sure how this has been done in the past so im hoping that someone can help out a rooky.

Well we have the Okanagan clan flying down on Friday and returning Monday. It's going to be so sweet to see some cool cars

Were here already, Pomona this sat among other events. Were seeing lots of AC VW's everywhere, The beach is packed with them.

Looking forward to meeting up withe everyone at the host hotel....bring beer its party time!

Sacro was great except for the rain that fell Sat afternoon and put a dampner on the swap meet. Sunday was great and there were some great deals and cool cars and fast racing. Looking forward to the classic's next week.
