I have a standard beetle and a super beetle tow bar that you can borrow. I'll be coming down tomorrow evening to Burnaby for the meet, can toss it in the Single Cab.

No, you will need a Bus specific tow bar.

Are tow bars legal in BC? I seem to remember, years ago, hearing that they are not. But I haven't found any info on this recently. Not saying that they would have to be legal for you to want to use one. I'm just curious. Thanks guys.

Ya not 100% sure either but if you do use one , for sure the vehicle being tow'ed has to be insured. And the tow vehicle has to be double the weight of what your towing because as a "trailer" , it does not have brakes.  Probably more to it than just that too.
