Hey Kirin, make sure with the fuel tank you give the exterior a good clean - my tank wasnt a leaker but when I media blasted it I did find perferations near the exit of the tank (bottom) Good thing or I would have been chasing a phantom.

Also when I gas-freed it (interior clean) I used a product called citra-clean, it's enviromentally friendly and non toxic. I can hook you up with some if you need.

the shortest I've owned a beetle was 3 months.  I had a blue 67 for 1 year, and a black / yellow beetle for 7 months.

Okay the latest.
Front beam is out and completly dissassembled. new one is being put together. Tranny is going to the rebuilders sometime this week. Gas tank is coming back(THANKS Lil 71!) need to do some body work and get some more parts. Reassemble front end and get disc brakes and the front end will be back on the ground..

Ground raising updates
Got the front end back on the ground for the first time in a while...No shocks and torsion adjusters adjusted all the way down.. And boy is the front end of my car low. It has that \"serious bad ass\" rake to it.. Not for long though till I get some real tires on there:P
