I believe (I could be wrong) this Beetle was owned by Shane at one point and was for sale under 2K after being newly painted and without an engine. I think Danny got it and put an engine on it with the Kads and sold it back in 2006 for around 3.5K or so. I am not sure what else has been done to it besides the chromies but the new owner may be able to tell you.

Hope that helps.

I traded some body work for the shell and fenders. Had my students do the body work and paint job on it. BOught a chassis and mated the two. Hung the 1600 with K-dogs and exhaust and sold it to Shane.

The shell was deadly solid. It was in black Epoxy when I got it. There was almost zero rust which is why I grabbed it. There was basically just prep work.

I got it from Mike Scott who got it from Gutterslug so ya.......she's been around

I do not mean to disrespect you but, either your price is too high to begin with or there is too much competition around that price range.

i.e.

http://classifieds.castanet.net/showproduct.ph p?product=169617&cat=121

http://www.airspeedparts.com/community-fo rum/index.php?act=ST&f=24&t=12490& s=46dffcc5aca55cd0b74769c45f4b4b16

http://www.airspeedparts.com/community-for...ST&f=24&t=12349

and that is only acvws. Kirin has a BMW for 8K.

For what is worth, I think you should find someone who may store it for you for a small fee and try to sell it next year at The Western, The Great Canadian, or sometime after everyone gets their tax refunds.

Sold it tonight. Its leaving for North Van on Saturday. Buyer got a great deal on it, so I suspect it will have the last bit of work done, and then sold again in the spring. We'll see, thats just speculation on my part.
