Has anyone out there swapped a K/L beam onto a ball joint pan? If so how much work is involved?

way easier to swap the whole pan, unless u wanna weld on a balljoint frame head onto your old pan, reason being they have two different mounting holes at the frame head

I have decided to stick with the k/l frontend but what i need to know is how much needs to be taken out of the front beem (3-6" narrow) to allow the car to be slammed on 195/45 15's on empi/flat4 5s? Can this be done on a 2" beem or should i be looking to run smart car tires?

depends on your choice of wheel choice, brakes, wheel adapters, spindles and what not. Get more specific and people can give you some ideas of whats going on.
