Rear Wheel Bearings - IRS - Any Tricks?
« on: August 23, 2009, 11:44:54 PM »
Going to tackle the left rear wheel bearings tomorrow (assuming I can get a kit). Bentley and Samba seem to suggest it's fairly straight forward.

Any tricks or things I should know before tackling? Sounds like the hardest part is likely removing/installing the inner bearing with a drift

Take out the big circlip first.  Buy new grease seals first.  Lordco can get 'em.

...except for the mad-dash to AVR to grab parts (lordco strikes again!) it was dirt simple.
