Well, back in 2009 the bus in that 1st image was owned by a Mr. Grant Reinhardt in Saskatchewan.   This photo is cropped from his photo found here:

http://vintagebus.com/gallery/section/rare2.html

You can see the original photo quite a ways down the page.   This photo used in this Craigslist ad was definitely cropped from Grant's 2009 photo.  Heck, it still has the Sask license plates.

Maybe not a scam but it sure seems fishy to me.

The blue one was a different ad. I remember it. It was pictures of a van from here in kelowna. i thought it was a scam myself. Still not sure if it wasn't.

Well I see a fair amount of rust but I think I am seeing a tail pipe for a BA6.  Wonder if it works.  No propane tank under the slider  so this may be a P23.  I am not so familiar with the 75's but in 74 the BA6 was only available on the P27 which included the Coleman Travler stove and Dometic electric fridge.  Front seats are an easy fix providing the springs are not broken.  Rest of the interior looks decent.  Usually the laminate is all chipped.  Where is the stool?

I have that same interior in my 79 without the roof.

I would be having a very good look underneath.  It is very unusual to see a near rust free late bus here unless of course you look in my driveway.

Prices they are a climbing!!

Well this looks like a Dorper and a DC beside it.  Not for the faint of heart I suspect.

Good point.
I wouldn't be the slightest bit suprised if it was sporting the VIN plate and paperwork from a rotted out 74 Westfalia or something, "customs import paperwork?, OOP inspections?, baahhhh...., who needs em'?, hand me that pop riveter".

Be careful with that one, could be sketchy.

Well it looks like 1976 was the first year for the Brazilian Bay Window.

https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=433583

The Brazilian split window appears to have carried on into 1976 in other markets as a "Fleetline"

https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=652707&highlight=fleetline+bus

Wonder if the stamped in body serial numbers on the Brazilian units were in the same location as our models?  M-code plates?

nice looking bay window!!

another thing that cochrane ab is famous for (apart from your old bus)...parts of the movie Rad were filmed there! not directly related to vws, but that was a big deal in the 80's, and i'm sure there are folks here that like vws & bmx-ing :P ;D
