Title: Anyone Have A Scrap Pan?
Post by: James Buchan on July 17, 2003, 09:48:16 AM
Does anyone have a scrap pan that I could cut up? I need the rear torsion housing, shock towers, and everything in that area.

Let me know what you have and we can work out a deal.

  well it is an american car

Nah not for my car, I am doing some R&D for a brace for my car, I can't justify 300US for the \"kafer cup brace\" when I can easily make it. I am going to make a 3 bar system first outta steel then try aluminium and maybe even Chromoly.
I want to do it in stages for testing purposes and figure this would be the easiest way. Then I'll slap it in the bug and do a 5000rpm launch....and see if anything breaks (other than my tranny)

James I have a pan from a 73 super , it is only the structural frame of the pan as the passenger and driver sides have been cut out.

You can use it for a template, but not to cut.
